Horrible Bosses. We got free preview tickets on Tuesday. It was better than I'd expected, and Jennifer Aniston was actually really funny! It is worth seeing, just to see Colin Farrell with a comb over!

Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. I've only ever seen in in patchwork from being on TV as a kid. Wow.

Gnomeo and Juliet. One of my escorts lent me it for the kids to watch. so we watched it all together on the sofa instead. had quite a bit of adult humour in it. wasn't all that bad. don't need to watch it again. i still don't the true Romeo and Juliet story and this was aimed at children. so i've no hope.

Beginners. Okay. Went on a bit. Veered into indie-by-numbers a few too many times. Scenic people to look at to sustain you through the loongeurs but, really, it should have all been Christopher Plummer. Now, THAT'S a man.

I'm crazy about Christopher Plummer. I can't remember what I saw him in very recently though. I know I was with my daughter because I whispered to her 'that's Captain von Trapp' but I really can't remember the movie. Edit - actually it must have been the trailer for Beginners then. Though how I saw a 15 trailer with my daughter is a mystery.

I saw gnomeo and juliet a couple of weeks ago, quite funny in parts
last movie - Brooklyns Finest, if you liked the wire you might like this, follows the lives of three police officers who don't really have a lot to do with each other in the movie, bit slow, if the lighting were any darker in some of the scenes it would have been a talking book rather than a movie, some good acting but it didn't really fit together for me
movie before this was "The Other Guys" - if you like Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg you'll probably think this is a hoot, I think we laughed once, the best bits for us were the opening scenes

I'm crazy about Christopher Plummer. J'adore, too. Have you seen him in Spike Lee's Inside Man? Marvellous stuff. One of my friend's mams was having it off with him in the 60s and she used to fantasise that he was her real father. She's a very good looking lady, so maybe there's something in it.

^ I agree mmmunchkin. I love the actress in it but hated her character. That film made me angry.

Unimaginable - with Samuel L Jackson - great film, especially if you're a fan of 24.
