This Christmas seems to come packaged with a few thorns and spikes and no amount of wrapping paper is going to stop them from poking through, hard as I try.

What about cardboard from an old cereal box, Garfield. Create some sort of force field protection. Save the paper! Suffocate the present.

Thinking of ways to prevent the letterbox from rattling without letting in an excess draft.
I tried a rolled up toilet roll, that didn't work. Can't tape it shut as the post needs to get through the door.
Thinking of an amalgamation of the two using reinforced cardboard on either side of the opening.
Logical mind go to sleep now. Sort it out after work. But remember cellotape.

Or you could get some draft excluding tape and put it round the edge of the letter bit, it'll cushion the rattle. They sell it in Most Pound shop/world

Hi Oops I thought it could be easier weighting down the flap. Or possibly buying a new plastic one. I haven't looked at the integrety of existing one yet but clogging up the hole with card and tape would mean the postie wouldn't be able to get the letters through. Thanks.

Thinking that my Yorkie-Boy is such a poser! Just taken some pictures as he's just been for his walk, so still had his little wax jacket on (looks pretty cute) and he instantly stood for a pose when I pointed my camera at him. Thinks he's little Lord Fauntleroy that one! :-)

I can get a horde of ikea crackers whilst I'm at it. Yay! Trek isn't so bad.
