You need a bit of sugar and a bit of fat in your diet to make your body work. Everything in moderation. It's just getting the moderation bit!

Yip, that's why I'm doing this. To see what I'm actually eating. Yes, lots of sugar, this I know since I make sweets for a living, hence the fudge. I'm eating crap but want to do this for a couple of weeks before I make changes. I did eat the skin btw, that's the best bit! :-)

I know what you mean garfield. I know what I should be and shouldn't be eating, but I struggle to actually do it. I crave salted snacks and cheese, an am a very lazy cook and very disorganised having things in to cook with. I might be ok just feeding myself, but then I have to feed the boy and it is a waste of time making him a salad or boiled or even stir fried veg, because it's wasted and he is still looking for food. I'd be embarrassed to share what I really eat some days!

Yes. That shows me how 'not ready' I am, that I wouldn't yet consider putting everything down in public.

Join me Keebs, after all we're amongst friend. For me it's about seeing the pattern of my food over a period of time. Some days will be healthier than others, but I'm trying to work out what my food triggers are when I'm stressed, so I can work at them.
And yes, my teas are sugarless and I had two large glasses of water.
See, it's working, you ladies are already making me think about what's going in my mouth. :-)

Seven portions today. I counted the wasabi peas and natural fruity water as half each. I've added to the 'only two coffees a week(weekend mornings)' rule and decided that I am also allowed one extra coffee if I have a day out at the coast, like today I did well to resist the chips and ice cream so I think an extra coffee is ok.

Right. Today. 3 cups of tea. 6 x Water.
Cornflakes and milk, sugar.
Pav bhaji (small bowl of potato curry with soft roll) and bhel puri (soup sized bowl of indian snack)
Snacks during the day: a handful of sainsbury's matchmaker mints, a small slice of birthday cake, 3 bourbon biscuits. A walnut whip.
A cumberland pie ready meal. A small pack of 'fish and chip' crisps.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Even I'm screaming "where's the fruit and veg?"

Good breakfast Garfield.
I had 5 portions of fruit/veg today and resisted the nachos with melted cheese on offer with tea. I did have a very yummy piece of gooey chocolate brownie cake containing both gluten and sugar on my forbidden list!
