We had a spaghetti bolognaise cooked from scratch by my fair hands (except I didn't make the pasta). Apparently I didn't cut the carrots and onions into small enough pieces.

We had yesterdays left over slow cooked pork, which was cooked in a nice warming sweet marinade. We had mashed potato, cabbage, carrots and asparagus with it.

The last few nights have been emergency processed food (good old M&S 😎) but tonight I'm home & back to being a yummy mummy, so we've had pasta bake with homemade tomato sauce containing masses of blended hidden vegetables that no-one knew about topped with local Lancashire cheese. And for pudding stupendously indulgent warm chocolate chip brioche smothered in melted Nutella 😋

We went for a take away tonight - a lovely treat. I had Southern Garlic Indian Garlic Chicken with Garlic, and chillies. Spirit had an prawn chow mien, hopefully also with a lot of garlic.

Homemade cheese pie for us tonight. And then chocolate cake from the Holmfirth Women's Institute. I always feel it's been baked by the spirit of Thora Hird or Kathy Staff 😎

Cauliflower & blue cheese soup with black truffle oil, boeuf bourguignon with crushed winter vegetables & dauphinois, white chocolate cheesecake. None of it cooked by me! Great meal out at a fine French restaurant in good company.

Home alone again, so a feast of beans and cheese on toast, followed by Caramel Nibbles, was on the menu tonight. I am actually going to eat properly tomorrow night, when my wife is home!

The kids and I had my homemade broccoli and cauliflower cheese made with Delia's cheese sauce, such a good recipe. They like it with Yorkshire puddings though they were from M&S, not homemade, a shameful admission for a Yorkshire girl...

We have chicken in the slow cooker, with garlic and rosemary in a tomato sauce. Should be ready in an hour or two and served with creamy mash.

Homemade spag bol for us tonight. With M&S garlic bread bought for convenience, I far prefer Aldi's
