Of course, be rude not to! If I lived nearer Carlisle I would be helping organise it, but I live in South Cumbria, so doing my bit spreading the word at the moment.

I'm tempted to go. Its amusing that after all these years Pride has managed to make a presence in my home town. It would appear times do change.

Oh you should go TQ! Take your nana. its worse than taking my nana. Merc said she wanted to go. I fear its to take the piss out of The North. I might see if the boys want to go, it might dilute the situation slightly. Or Just stay in Edinburgh. I don't even go to the Ed Pride thing so why I thought about a Carlisle one I do not know. Brightsider is it an actual march? or are we just going to the ball room in the hilltop hotel and look about at each other?

Theres no march TQ, something to do with policing the event and lack of funds at the moment. Apparently, the police charge a small fortune for events, so it is to be at the hotel, and the grounds. Stalls, acts and stuff like that then a party at Outrageous. Instead of a Pride march, there will be a Pride bus going through the city through the day to take people up the hotel. I'm hoping to go up there and squeeze as many locals from down here as I can get into my car...that'll be 3 then I considered getting a room there, as they have special rates for pride goers, but I would rather come back to my own comfy bed! (I'm getting old, aren't I?) Yay merc and Betty! Are you coming?

Cumbria Pride tickets are now free thanks to lots of fundraising! They are available from all the places listed on the website, or look up the facebook group if you can't get to the outlets which are mainly in North Cumbria- There is a post in there offering to post a couple out to you if you can't get them from the outlets. There are also details of the bus that is running from the City Centre to the hotel. If anyone is going and wants to meet up, PM me

I haven't checked here for a while, sorry about the slow reply! I went along, but have no pics. As for Pride itself, lots of people had a great time but it wasn't my kind of thing really...
