Is bbq cooked food good for our health? I've just had a moment of madness and think too many bbqs and i might get carbon monoxide poisoning.

The charredness of the BBQ'd food is said to be not good. But I would google it if I were you.

I heard a similar thing; that burned/charred toast is a carcinogen (cancer causing). Whether this is genuine or an old wives tale, i really don't know.

Regarding healthy living, i really must get my act together.
Unfortunately i have Bipolar Disorder, which is fair enough, i had it under control. In the past i have managed this by using normal/manic periods to excercise a lot, eat healthily and make sure i am ahead with all paper/house/business work. Then i can just sit it out during my depressions until they pass. This worked well for me, until about July last year.
I began getting ill very quickly, and after several months i was diagnosed with M.E. I am now in the totally frustrating position of the M.E being bad when i am in a good BPD place. This means i am getting no periods of exercise/healthy eating.
I just get so angry and frustrated, especially as i am rapidly regaining weight that i previously lost. Not much anyone can advise, i guess i am just venting and ranting. Sorry.

well done scooby that's great !
how have you been this week ?
i have put on A STONE since last november and it's really starting to depress me ! i'm usually fairly ok controlling my weight and am able to reel myself in when i feel the jeans getting a bit tight...
but over the last 6 months i've gone from bad to worse...my job (which i love) has been hanging by a thread due to budget cuts, things with my son's dad have been tough and i've had a few big ups and downs with my gf
all these things have thrown me into the arms of crap unhealthy quick sugar/fat fixes of food, but enough is enough !
i have re-read all my old Weight Watchers info and i really need to get a grip on my unhealthy ways before i get too far out of control
i'm coming here to chart my progress and rant...and hopefully post about good steady losses
