well......I've been on the scales and as promised will post my weight. I have ate and drank more or less a full supermarket over the festivities and NEED to address my lack of healthy eating!
11st exactly...not been that since I was pregnant over 11yrs ago so slightly disgusted with myself.
I will post every Sunday to try and keep myself on track. going to attempt some sit-ups and stretching before a little jog around the block.
good luck to everyone!

I intend to start eating healthily again, and cut out crap. I put on weight so easily, i often wonder if i should just slap the cakes and chocolates straight onto my thighs rather than putting them in my mouth.
Anyway, good luck everyone. I'm not posting my weight cos i don't want to know it myself, and apart from that i'm not overweight, just undertall..

well done Betty. My start has been flummoxed by a cold so the exercise plan is out the window until im back on my feet. The positives of this are that I have no apetite at the moment!! but also, i'm using the time in bed to design my healthy eating plan, set up the 'myfitnessplan' app on my phone and set up a tesco delivery account so that I can manage my shopping (and finances) better. I have got into a terrible habit of not undertaking a weekly shop and therefore will come home from work starving and go for the convienience foods which are usually unhealthy and fatty. I hope to be in my new house by feb and this will mean walking to work (about 35mins each way) plus more room in the new lounge for fitness dvd's and kinect workouts. I'm trying to be realistic about how i'm going to do this. I was not built for running, these boobs just get in the way!!! I've tried the gym before and I'm not confident enough so it would be a waste of money. Slowly and gradually, I hope to get there. I won't post my actual weight, but will hopefully be able to post any progress. Good luck to those also trying this year.

i weighed myself. it was exactly as depressing as I expected. I currently weigh 10st 10lb. I can't believe that I'm actually publicly disclosing that, but I'm hoping that the shame will spur me on. At 5'1", I either need to grow six inches or lose weight to be within healthy parameters. I tried to grow, but that didn't work, which leaves losing weight as the only other option. To put my weight into context, I weighted 9st 4lb the day before I gave birth. Admittedly, that was quite a long time ago and in those days I struggled to put weight on! I'm wary about setting targets, as it would be so easy to become disheartened. I need to lose at least two stone to be classed as a healthy weight, and aim to do that by my 40th birthday (Jan 2013) I think that is both realistic and achievable, but I also know that it isn't going to be easy! Good luck to everyone
